Rettungsvisionen und Reform der Schule – Niederers Motive, sich Pestalozzi anzuschliessen
[Visions of Redemption and Reform of the School – Niederer's Motives for Joining Pestalozzi]
(Rebekka Horlacher)
At the latest in 1806 Johannes Niederer became Pestalozzi's most important co-worker, when he succeeded in making Pestalozzi's «method» socially acceptable within the discourse of German idealism. Horlacher examines two letters written by Niederer in order to discover what it was that Niederer believed to have found in and with Pestalozzi and raises the question of problem relation between school and teaching methods and visions of social reform.
